Meet Pam
Pam de Armas
Owner & Master Seamstress

Pam has been working with bridal gowns since college, when a family friend with a bridal shop in Orlando introduced her to the nuanced world of wedding dress alterations and construction. She took to it naturally. In 1992, she walked down the aisle in a gown she had made from scratch herself.

“Her goal in her first full year back in Ocala was 12 brides, one per month. She had 16 on the books by April.”

For years, sewing was a side hustle built around her first priority: raising her family. She handled alterations for friends and family, quietly building a reputation while most people were still figuring out what a side hustle was. About 15 years ago, with the kids more self-sufficient, she took on bigger projects: bridesmaids dresses, prom and homecoming gowns, and her personal passion, theatrical costumes.

In 2019 she turned Pamtastic Stitches into her primary focus. A former bridesmaid reached out about her wedding gown, the referrals followed quickly, and the business grew. When Pam and her husband moved back to Ocala, one bride had already decided years earlier that Pam would make her wedding dress. She and her mother traveled to Ocala half a dozen times for fittings. Pam also remade the mother’s wedding dress into a reception dress, and that kind of work, restoring and reimagining heirloom gowns, has become one of her greatest joys.

Pam works from a dedicated studio in her Ocala home, designed from the start to give every client a private, professional fitting experience. She works by appointment, by referral, and with her full attention on every single project.

Getting started is simple.

Pam works primarily by referral, which means you’ll get personal attention, not a ticket number.
